Opportunity Plus: Permanent Motel Managers (Couple)

We are seeking a professional, motivated couple to take on the role of Permanent Managers for our 33-unit Motel, which includes 5 additional self-contained units. This is a full-time, live-in position ideal for a couple with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage all aspects of the motel’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the motel, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage housekeeping staff (all housekeeping is in place).
  • Handle booking and guest management using the Guestpoint Property Management System (PMS).
  • Prepare and serve fully cooked breakfasts for guests.
  • Liaise with linen service providers (all linen is outsourced).
  • Perform light maintenance tasks and ensure the overall upkeep of the property.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in motel or hospitality management is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with Guestpoint PMS or similar systems.
  • Strong cooking skills to provide quality breakfasts.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage all operational aspects as a team, including front desk duties, maintenance, and guest services.

Role Overview:
A large, busy motel in Dubbo, NSW, (52 Rooms) is seeking an experienced and driven couple to manage the property, with an immediate start. This is an exciting opportunity for those with a background in managing large motels, specifically those with 52 rooms or more. Experience working with corporate guests and travel agents will be highly regarded, as will your ability to improve restaurant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a 52-room motel, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Oversee and improve restaurant performance, specifically cooked breakfasts (Monday to Friday) and occasional tour group dinners.
  • Perform basic repairs, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties as required.
  • Manage linen services (offsite for linen, onsite for toweling).
  • Utilize GuestPoint PMS, SiteMinder Channel Manager, GDS for travel agent bookings, and Tanda for rostering and payroll.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with guests, staff, and suppliers to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
